A defibrillator on the wall is only useful if someone in the building knows how to open it, and that comes down to booking a course that puts the unit in your staff's hands.

The Essentials

  • Defibrillator training is booked directly and delivered at your own premises, with the trainer bringing AED units and manikins.
  • Sessions are practical: recognising cardiac arrest, effective CPR, pad placement and shock delivery, rehearsed until the order sticks.
  • AED skills can be booked on their own or built into Emergency First Aid at Work, one day, about six hours, up to 12 delegates, 3-year certificate.
  • Blended delivery is available, with theory online and the practical at your venue, keeping the same duration and compliance.
  • First aid courses are accredited by FAIB, mental health courses by FAA, and trainers are in-house rather than outsourced.

Aim2Aid Ltd is run by Rebecca Sullivan, who leads an in-house team with over 50 years of combined experience across Berkshire and surrounding areas. Whether you need defibrillator aed training or defibrillator training services Milton Keynes, we cover the whole area.

Defibrillator AED training

Booking a course for your workplace starts with a phone call

Most people ring up with a rough idea: a defibrillator has gone up on the wall, or an insurer has asked whether anyone knows how to use it. That is enough to start with. From there it is a short conversation about numbers, the layout of the building, and when you can spare the time.

Because training is delivered at your premises only, there is no travelling and no half day lost to a car park. Whether you need defibrillator aed training or defibrillator aed training in Reading, we cover the whole area, and the trainer comes to you with the kit already loaded.

Aim2Aid Ltd is run by Rebecca Sullivan, and the trainers are in-house rather than outsourced, with Rebecca leading them. Between them they hold over 50 years of combined experience, so the person standing in front of your staff has done this in offices, warehouses, salons and village halls, not just in a classroom.

Defibrillator AED training

What the session actually covers on the day

AED training is practical work. Delegates learn how to recognise a cardiac arrest, how to start chest compressions and keep them going, and how to bring the defibrillator into that sequence without hesitating. They put the pads on, they follow the voice prompts, and they practise until the order of actions sticks.

The point is confidence under pressure. A defibrillator talks you through it, but a person who has never opened the case will stand and read the lid while minutes go by. Handling the unit once in a calm room changes what happens in a bad one. Whether you need defibrillator aed training or defibrillator aed training in Windsor, we cover the whole area, and the same hands-on approach applies wherever the session runs.

Typical content includes:

  • Recognising cardiac arrest and calling for help fast
  • Effective CPR on adults, with compression depth and rate
  • Switching the AED on, placing pads and delivering a shock safely
  • Working as a team so compressions never stop for long
  • Where your own unit lives and who checks its pads and battery

Ring Aim2Aid First Aid and Fire Safety Training on 07771 680794 and we will book a defibrillator session into your premises on a date that suits your shifts.

Defibrillator AED training

Defibrillator skills sit inside your wider first aid cover

For a lot of businesses, AED training is not a standalone purchase. It sits alongside your workplace first aid provision, and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) expects employers to base that provision on a proper assessment of their own risks rather than a fixed number of first aiders.

That is why defibrillator content often gets built into a broader course. Emergency First Aid at Work runs as one day, about six hours, for up to 12 delegates, and carries a 3-year certificate. It can also be delivered blended, with the theory completed online and the practical session at your venue, which keeps the same duration and compliance while taking less time out of the working week. On our Emergency First Aid at Work courses, paediatric content is included at no extra cost, which matters if your staff deal with the public or with children.

First aid courses are accredited by FAIB. Mental health courses are accredited by FAA. Both are held to the same standard of delivery, but the accrediting bodies are separate and it is worth knowing which applies to what you are booking.

Getting it organised without disrupting the work

Practical arrangements are usually the deciding factor. A room with enough floor space for people to kneel, chairs pushed back, and a plug socket is all that is needed. Groups of up to 12 mean one session often covers an entire shift or department, and dates can be set around quieter periods.

It is also worth deciding who else should be in the room. Reception staff, cleaners, night shift supervisors and anyone who holds keys are often the first on the scene, yet they are the last to be booked on. Training the people who are physically present beats training the people on an org chart.

Aim2Aid Ltd, company number 16319053, works across Berkshire and surrounding areas. If you want to see what other organisations have said about the training, the reviews page on the site is the place to look.

One phone call is genuinely all it takes to get a date in the diary. Tell us how many people, tell us what the building is like, and the rest is arranged around you.

Ring Aim2Aid First Aid and Fire Safety Training on 07771 680794 and we will book a defibrillator session into your premises on a date that suits your shifts.
