Accessibility statement

Our aim

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification or a phone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

How we check the site

Every page is checked by an automated test that opens it at a phone screen width and looks for tap targets smaller than 24 by 24 pixels, body text smaller than 16 pixels, images without a text alternative, pages that scroll sideways, and a missing page language. We also look through pages at desktop and phone sizes and use the menus, the image viewer and the forms with a keyboard alone.

Known limitations

On a phone, some small text links are less than 24 pixels tall, which can make them fiddly to tap. These include the "Home" link in the trail at the top of each page, the email address in the quote section, some links inside paragraphs and lists of courses, and the Google rating badge, which comes from Trustindex.

The background video at the top of the homepage plays automatically, has no sound and has no pause button. It stops if your device is set to reduce motion.

The strip of moving skill names on the homepage pauses while your pointer is over it and stops if your device is set to reduce motion, but it cannot be paused from the keyboard.

Content from other companies

The map on our pages is embedded from Google Maps, and the Google reviews and rating badges are loaded from Trustindex. We cannot change how those work. Our address, phone number and every review are also written out in plain text on this site: see our contact page and our reviews page.
