Right now, an incident at your Woking workplace would mean someone guessing. After three days of First Aid at Work training, that same person knows what to do in the first four minutes, and so does everyone watching them.

Course Overview
Most workplaces in Woking have a first aid box and nobody who is confident using it. That is the gap. First Aid at Work closes it. The three day course, delivered over 18 hours, takes a member of your staff from bystander to appointed workplace first aider with a certificate valid for three years, recognised by the HSE, Ofsted and the DfE.
FAW is the fuller qualification. It suits workplaces where the risk is not just paper cuts: workshops, warehouses, kitchens, construction sites, manufacturing units, care settings and larger offices with a big headcount spread over floors. The awkward part is that most employers guess which course they need, book the short one, then find their risk assessment asks for more. We would rather you got that decision right first.
Our first aid courses are accredited by FAIB. Aim2Aid First Aid and Fire Safety Training is run by Rebecca Sullivan, and every trainer is in-house. Nothing is outsourced to a freelance pool. Between them our trainers bring over 50 years of combined experience into the room, and life-threatening bleed control is now trained on every course we run.

Booking a Place and First Aid at Work Qualification
Booking is the bit people put off, usually because a certificate has already lapsed and nobody wants to say so. Call it in and we will sort the dates. Rebecca handles the scheduling personally for most business enquiries, so you speak to someone who can actually commit to a date rather than pass you along.
The qualification itself works like this. Three days, continuous assessment by the trainer across practical skills, plus written questions. Pass and your first aider holds a three year certificate. Before it expires, they requalify, and the sensible time to book that is around three months out so you are never sitting with a gap on your compliance file. Employers who leave it later tend to end up uncovered for a few weeks.
We run first aid at work in Windsor as well. We cover the whole area from our base in Berkshire and surrounding areas. Training runs at your premises, on your dates, with your staff. We do not run open courses for individual delegates.
Aim2Aid Ltd is registered at 70 Fountain Gardens, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 3SX, company number 16319053, if you want to check us before you commit.

Course Content and Practical Skills
The failure most workplaces share is theory without hands on it. Reading about CPR is not the same as doing 30 compressions on a manikin while someone times you. So the course is weighted to practical work, with theory kept to what the assessment and the job actually need.
Over the three days your staff cover:
- The role and responsibilities of a workplace first aider, including incident reporting and records
- Assessing an incident scene and managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and safe use of a defibrillator
- Recovery position, choking, and airway management
- Life-threatening bleed control, catastrophic haemorrhage and shock
- Burns, fractures, head and spinal injuries, and eye injuries
- Medical emergencies: seizures, diabetic emergencies, asthma, anaphylaxis and stroke
- Minor injuries and when they stop being minor
Learners are assessed as they go. No exam hall, no surprise. The trainer watches the practical, asks the questions, and tells them where they stand before the day ends. As the Health and Safety Executive sets out in its first aid guidance, the level of provision you need follows your own risk assessment, not a fixed rule, and we will talk that through with you on the day if it helps.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course in Woking
Sometimes FAW is more than the job needs. A small low-risk office with six staff does not need three days out of the diary. That is where Emergency First Aid at Work fits: one day, about six hours, up to 12 delegates, three year certificate.
Every paediatric first aid course we run includes EFAW at no extra cost. If your workplace has children on site occasionally, a nursery room, a family business, a leisure or retail setting, that inclusion matters and you are not paying twice for it.
EFAW can also be delivered blended: the practical session at your premises, with the theory completed online beforehand. Same one day, about six hours of contact time, same up to 12 delegates, same three year certificate. It suits shift patterns and split teams. Our wider first aid at work services cover both routes, and we will tell you honestly which one your risk assessment points to rather than upselling the longer course.
Workplace and On-Site Training
Real buildings are not training rooms. Some Woking premises have a canteen and a spare meeting room. Others have a mezzanine, a shop floor and nowhere obvious to put twelve people with manikins. We work with what you have. A cleared floor area, chairs pushed back, and enough space to kneel is usually all it takes.
Delivering on site has a second advantage. Your staff learn where the incident would actually happen: next to the machine, the loading bay, the stairwell, the kitchen. They see where your defibrillator lives and where the kit is stored. That sticks better than a neutral room ever does.
We also run first aid at work in High Wycombe. We cover the whole area. Training is delivered at your premises only, for your staff, around your operating hours.
We also run mental health courses, accredited by FAA, for employers who want cover beyond the physical. Different accreditation, same in-house trainers. For what customers say about us, see the reviews and Trustpilot widget on the site.
