A First Aid at Work booking in Windsor starts with a phone call about your building, then a confirmed date, then three days of practical training in your own room, then assessment and certificates.
The Essentials
- First Aid at Work is the three day qualification, with a 3-year certificate recognised by HSE, Ofsted and the DfE.

- Life-threatening bleed control is trained on every course, and our EFAW includes paediatric content at no extra cost.
- Training is delivered at your premises in Windsor and across Berkshire and surrounding areas, never at a training centre.

Course Overview
Most of the rooms we train in around Windsor have a solid floor, a fixed layout and furniture that does not move far. A Victorian terrace off Kings Road gives you a narrow hall and a single staircase. A modern flat by the Thames gives you a small open plan space with a hard tiled floor. Both work for First Aid at Work, because the practical work happens on the floor you already have, using a manikin, a training defibrillator and a bleed control kit brought in with the kit bag.
First Aid at Work, often booked simply as FAW, is the three day qualification for staff who need fuller workplace cover. It carries a 3-year certificate recognised by HSE, Ofsted and the DfE, and the first aid courses are accredited by FAIB. The Health and Safety Executive expects the level of first aid cover to follow the risk in the workplace, which is the reason some sites need the three day course rather than the one day version.
Across the three days delegates work through primary survey, CPR, defibrillator use, the recovery position, choking, shock, burns, fractures, head injuries, seizures and incident reporting. Life-threatening bleed control is now trained on every course, so tourniquet and haemostatic dressing practice sits inside the standard programme rather than as an add-on. Assessment is continuous, by practical demonstration and short written questions.
- Three days of training, FAIB accredited, 3-year certificate.
- Delivered at your own premises in Windsor and across Berkshire.
- Bleed control included as standard on every course.
- Trainers are in-house, never outsourced.
The right course for your risk, nothing more.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course in Windsor
A shop unit in the historic core, on one of the streets opposite Henry VIII Gate, is often a single trading floor with a stockroom behind it and one member of staff on shift at quiet times. That shape of workplace usually points to the shorter qualification rather than the three day one. Emergency First Aid at Work runs as one day, about six hours, up to 12 delegates, with a 3-year certificate.
EFAW covers the emergencies a lone first aider is most likely to meet: an unresponsive casualty, CPR and defibrillator use, choking, a serious bleed, shock, minor injuries and the paperwork that follows. Our EFAW includes paediatric content at no extra cost, which matters if your staff deal with children in the shop, the cafe or the office reception.
EFAW is also available blended: the theory is completed online in your own time, then the practical session runs at your premises. The duration, delegate cap and 3-year certificate stay exactly as above, so the compliance position does not change. Rebecca sets the blended split so the practical hours are not thinned out.
If you need first aid at work in Windsor or first aid at work in Milton Keynes, the same in-house team covers both.

First Aid at Work Qualification for Windsor Homes
Plenty of businesses here trade out of a converted house rather than a purpose-built office. A Georgian townhouse south of the Castle, toward the Long Walk, might hold a small practice on the ground floor with offices above, sash windows, a timber staircase and a Grade II listing that rules out fixing anything to the fabric. Nothing we bring needs fixing to anything: the manikins, the training AED and the bleed control trainers all sit on the floor or a table.
That kind of building changes the job in useful ways. Casualty handling is taught with the real stairs and the real landing in mind, not a generic corridor. Where a first aider would struggle to carry anyone down, we cover how to stabilise in place and brief the ambulance crew on access, including the cobbled streets and pedestrian routes that slow a vehicle down.
The qualification itself is the same wherever it is delivered. What changes is the scenario work, which we set in the rooms your staff actually use. Same certificate, drilled in your building.
Course Dates, Venues and Delivery
Windsor loading windows are tight, particularly around Sheet Street and Adelaide Square where terraced houses run along the old route toward Old Windsor. Kit comes in on one trip, so a start time is realistic even on a busy weekday. We do not run open courses for individual delegates and we do not use a training centre. All training happens at your premises, on dates you pick.
Three day First Aid at Work courses can run over consecutive days or be split to protect your rota. Blended delivery is available for the shorter EFAW course as set out above. Full details of our first aid at work services, including course content and certification, sit on the main course page.
- Weekday, evening and weekend slots by arrangement.
- Room requirements: floor space for practical work, a chair per delegate.
- Certificates issued after successful assessment, valid 3 years.
- Requalification booked before your current certificate lapses.
Workplace and On-Site Training
An occupied building with the public walking through it is a different job to an empty unit. In the town centre, near the Guildhall built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1690, a training day has to fit around trading hours, deliveries and visitors. We work in one room, keep the kit contained and pause practical sessions if you need the space back.
For your workplace, that means training can happen for your staff without shutting the door on customers. Group bookings for your business keep the whole team on the same certificate expiry date, which makes renewal planning simpler. Mental health courses are also available and those are accredited by FAA, separately from the FAIB first aid qualifications.
All trainers are in-house, led by Rebecca Sullivan, with over 50 years of combined experience between them. No subcontractors turn up in our place.
Booking a Place
A booking starts with the room. Tell us the address, roughly how many delegates and what the space looks like, whether that is a first floor office in a period cottage or a warehouse mezzanine, and we confirm what fits. Aim2Aid Ltd is based at 70 Fountain Gardens, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 3SX, company number 16319053, so we are not travelling far to reach most of the town.
From there the order runs: quote, agreed date, delegate list, training day, assessment, certificates. Rebecca or a member of the team will talk through whether FAW or EFAW suits your risk level before you commit to three days. Our reviews are on the site if you want to read what other Berkshire employers have said.

First Aid at Work in Windsor: Your Questions Answered
How much does a first aid at work course cost in Windsor?
Cost depends on delegate numbers and whether you need the three day First Aid at Work course or the one day Emergency First Aid at Work course. Call 07771 680794 with your address and headcount for a free quote.
Do you get paid for being a first aider at work?
That is set by your employer, not by the qualification. Some Windsor businesses pay a small allowance for the role, others do not. The training and the 3-year certificate are the same either way.
Can you train in a listed building in the Windsor conservation area?
Yes. Nothing we bring is fixed to the fabric. Manikins, the training defibrillator and bleed control trainers sit on the floor or a table, which suits Georgian townhouses and period cottages.
Do you run open courses in Windsor that individuals can join?
No. Training is delivered at your own premises for your staff only. That keeps the scenario work relevant to your building and your risks.
How far outside Windsor do you travel?
We cover Windsor and across Berkshire, plus surrounding areas. Give us the postcode when you call and we will confirm.
