A defibrillator is only as useful as the people ready to grab it, and speed and confidence in those first minutes make the difference. This is training, not equipment sales. How it works ## CPR and an AED, together When someone is in cardiac arrest, survival drops with every minute that passes without CPR and defibrillation. The chain of survival is simple: call for help, start CPR, use an AED as soon as one arrives, and hand over to the ambulance service. A modern AED talks you through it — but training builds the speed and calm to act without hesitating. We can run the session on your own defibrillator model so your team practises on the exact device they will reach for. You will learn safe pad placement, how to keep good compressions going, and how CPR and the AED work together rather than one instead of the other. A modern AED gives clear spoken instructions, so an untrained person can use one in an emergency. But training builds the speed, confidence and CPR quality that genuinely improve the odds — which is why we recommend it for anyone with an AED on site. ### What is covered in AED training? Recognising cardiac arrest, the chain of survival, effective CPR, safe and confident AED use, pad placement, and how to use a defibrillator alongside chest compressions. ### How long does AED / defibrillator training take? Around half a day. That is enough time for everyone to practise CPR and AED use hands-on until it feels natural, without taking a full day out of the diary. ### Can we train on our own defibrillator? Yes. Where you have your own AED, we can run the session on that exact model so your team practises on the device they will actually reach for. ### Do you deliver AED training onsite? Yes.
